On Rappel Tote Bag
I really love to rappel. The steeper the better! Free Rappel? Even better than better! I’ll be the first to go down. It’s exhilarating and dangerous!
The body of this tote is made from a heavy brocade fabric in an aqua color and the lining is an iridescent fabric that looks gold, navy, or aqua depending on how the light hits it. The pocket is from a Hawaiian shirt my husband donated to my cause, and I’ve sewn a snap at the top.
The felt climber stands out on a blue burlap-type fabric and underneath that is a layer of the iridescent material and I’ve frayed the edges of both layers. The flowered fabric on the strap and rock-face was a sundress in a prior life. I’ve hand-embroidered the rope with embroidery thread.
The tote bag measures 10.5” x 10.75 and the strap is 40.5” long and 1.5” wide. I have also treated the bag with a spray on fabric protector.
